The last tomatoes came in green and are ripening on the windowsill. Garlic went into the deep box this week, ten cloves, pointed end up, about a hand deep. Mint survived the first frost under a cut bottle.

I keep a simple calendar: leafy greens on the waxing moon, roots on the waning one. It probably matters less than watering on time, but it keeps the notebook in order.
